The state plans to fill the gap by using a one-time federal funding. It will also tighten authorizations for enrollees who are seeking certain mental health treatments as well as home and community-based care, according to the report.

The state has attributed the gap to a larger number of people enrolled in the program.

Provider reimbursements will not be affected, according to the report.
