Miami Lakes, Fla.-based Pacer Health Corporation is no longer the hospital’s operator, and Craig Morgan is no longer the hospital’s CEO. Gary Kendrick, former CEO of Daviess Community Hospital in Washington, Ind., has taken over as the new CEO of Knox County Hospital.
The hospital has already had to install a new portable chiller because the air conditioner was not working, and the temperature within the facility was getting too high, which forced some patients to move to other local hospitals, according to the report.
Knox County Hospital has also had cash problems. In March, it had no cash on hand, resulting in lost payroll, and the hospital has had ongoing accounting problems since.
