Jackie Cornell-Bechelli named Region II Director of HHS

HHS Secretary Sylvia Burwell has appointed Jackie Cornell-Bechelli as Region II Director of HHS.

Ms. Cornell-Bechelli served as both the deputy field director in southeastern Pennsylvania and the state director in New Jersey for President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign in 2012. She has also held leadership positions with New Jersey Citizen Action — the state’s largest citizen watchdog coalition — and Planned Parenthood, where she specialized in coalition development and public engagement.

Ms. Cornell-Bechelli will represent Secretary Burwell in working with federal, state, territorial, local and tribal officials on health and social service issues.
