iPatientCare implements interface for Michigan Primary Care Transformation Project for Michigan Data Collaborative

iPatientCare, a provider of cloud-based ambulatory EHR and revenue cycle management services, has implemented interface for Michigan Primary Care Transformation Project for the Michigan Data Collaborative.

The goal with the implementation is to allow users becoming participating practices to enhance analysis of multi-payer claims data, enable actionable care plans and monitor and improve quality measures, according to a news release.

MiPCT is a five-year multi-payer project aimed at improving health in Michigan, making care more affordable and strengthening the patient-care team relationship. According to a news release, this transformation happens through a collaborative network of physician organizations and shared learning opportunities where the MDC plays a key role. MDC, a data collection, enrichment and provisioning group at the University of Michigan, is providing online dashboards and reports for physician organizations designed for participating providers.

iPatientCare has achieved this interface with help from the Northern Physicians Organization in Traverse City, Mich.

According to a news release, the implementation will help iPatientCare users to submit the data, which is used in the registry at the MDC to rank physician organizations with MiPCT participating practices and pay an incentive.

The clinical data submitted is combined with claims data to help create a dashboard for the MiPCT participating organizations, allowing them to better track clinical quality and further expand the capabilities of the patient centered medical homes model in Michigan, officials said.
