Impinj and partners reveal new solutions: 3 things to know

Seattle-based technology firm Impinj has introduced a portfolio of new solutions built on the Impinj platform.

Here are three things to know about the solutions.

1. The solutions are developed by partners Conexus, DeRoyal, ARC Healthcare Technologies and VUEMED.

2. The solutions are:

  • Healthcare Asset Management & Optimization, developed by Conexus, gives healthcare providers real-time information, according to a news release. That information includes medical equipment location, status, availability, usage history, and automatic alerts if equipment is removed from premises.
  • Hospital Supply Usage Tracking, developed by DeRoyal, streamlines supply management, according to a news release. It automatically captures data about supplies consumed during surgical procedures and integrates the data with inventory, billing and surgical information systems, the release states. The system also makes sure necessary supplies in the operating room are available in a timely manner.
  • Hospital Inventory Management, developed by ARC Healthcare Technologies, continuously keeps track of medical supplies within a hospital, according to a news release. It monitors entire supply rooms as well as individual supply cabinets and shelves.

3. Overall, all of the solutions are aimed at delivering timely information to help healthcare organizations improve their operational efficiency, better manage assets and enhance patient care, officials said.

"The healthcare industry is undergoing fundamental shifts to streamline operational processes, institute tighter cost controls, and improve patient outcomes. We're excited to work with an exceptional group of partners to deliver cost savings, new efficiencies and better patient care," Eric Brodersen, Impinj president and COO, said in a prepared statement.
