Uma Sundaram, MD, gastroenterologist and vice dean of research at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University in Huntington, Va., will lead the study, according to the report.
“[Receiving the grant] is a significant accomplishment for us and certainly a step forward in the goal of advancing health care for veterans,” Huntington VA director Brian Nimmo told the Herald Dispatch.
