Humana Divests Medicare Advantage Plans in 4 Markets to Cigna

Health insurer Cigna announced it has finished its acquisition of Medicare Advantage plans in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas that were previously held by insurers Humana and Arcadian Health.

The acquisition affects about 4,500 customers who will now have access to Cigna/HealthSpring’s Medicare Advantage offerings.

The deal was previously announced in June, when Humana announced it would divest its plans in four markets as stipulated by the government in order to finish its acquisition of Arcadian.
