How health system leaders feel about their revenue cycle outsourcing partners

Seventy-seven percent of health system finance leaders surveyed said they are using some form of revenue cycle outsourcing, according to a Sept. 9 report from consulting company Guidehouse.

Guidehouse’s “2024 Revenue Cycle Management Report” analyzed a survey conducted by the Healthcare Financial Management Association in May 2024. The survey included 134 CFOs and other C-suite and financial health system executives.  

The majority of leaders surveyed said they are at least somewhat satisfied with their revenue cycle outsourcing partnerships, according to the report. Twenty-five percent said they are very satisfied with their partnerships, and another 46% said they are somewhat satisfied. 

Only 3% said they were very unsatisfied with their outsourcing partnerships, and 10% said they are somewhat unsatisfied. Sixteen percent said they had neutral feelings toward their partnerships.
