Hospital prices were up 2.1 percent from Sept. 2010 to Sept. 2011. Meanwhile, physician office prices rose 0.5 percent for the month of September, and 1.6 percent for the year.
The BLS’ producer price index measures average changes in selling prices received by producers for their products and services.
