The gift supports the hospital’s Care Community Commitment campaign and will finance community gardens for the new ED.
“Generous contributions from families and area companies allow us to make these types of investments in state-of-the-art facilities and new technologies,” Spiros Hatiras, Holyoke Medical Center’s president and CEO, said in a statement to MassLive.com.
The medical center’s campaign is now at $2.25 million of its $3 million goal.
