Sutter Health Names Stephen Nolte CEO of Health Plan

Stephen Nolte has been named CEO of Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health’s developing health plan, effective Dec. 31.

Mr. Nolte is currently the principal vice president for health and human services consulting at OptumInsight. In this role, he helped Sutter prepare to form a health maintenance organization, which Sutter applied for earlier this year.

Sutter Health expects its HMO products to be available in the Sacramento area in 2014.
