HHS extends deadline to request COVID-19 aid reporting exception

Healthcare providers who missed the March 31 deadline to report on how they used provider relief funds payments now have until May 18 to request an extenuating circumstances extension.

The extension is for providers who received more than $10,000 total between July 1 and Dec. 31, 2020, according to a May 13 American Hospital Association news release. 

The original deadline to request an exception was May 13, according to the AHA.
