The increase was attributable to a 3 percent increase in patient discharges and a 4.9 percent increase in net patient revenue per discharge.
HealthSouth’s adjusted free cash flow for the second quarter grew to $97.9 million from $72.5 million for the second quarter of 2013.
Based on HealthSouth’s results for the first half of 2014, the company raised its 2014 adjusted EBITDA guidance to a range of $570 million to $580 million from a range of $555 million to $565 million.
