Georgia health system to launch website price estimator

Augusta, Ga.-based University Health Care System will launch a website price estimator starting Sept. 9, according to The Augusta Chronicle.

The tool, My Sure Pay Health, aims to provide patients with better insights into what their medical care will cost them.

Patients will be able to input their insurance information to determine deductibles and discounts for Medicare, Medicaid and more than 30 commercial payers, the Chronicle reported. The tool also allows uninsured/self-pay patients to determine out-of-pocket cost estimates with the hospital's discount applied.

It will be available on the three-hospital system's main website, universityhealth.org, and through laptops, smartphones and tables.
