According to the report, plans for the Medicaid cuts will be released in the next few weeks, before the government submits it to CMS. Healthcare groups have said delays in the release of the plan may limit the opportunity to review and comment on the proposals.
Wisconsin’s Medicaid programs — which include BadgerCare Plus, Family Care, SeniorCare and others — cover nearly 1.2 million residents, and they collectively cost $6.7 billion per year, with 60 percent coming from the federal government.
