Mishawaka, Ind.-based Franciscan Alliance has partnered with Millennium Physician Group to expand value-based care and primary care access across Indiana.

Fort Myers, Fla.-based Millennium is part of a national value-based care platform partially owned by Elevance Health.

The partnership will combine Franciscan’s physician network with Millennium’s practice management, analytics and value-based care capabilities. Franciscan physicians will remain part of the health system’s physician network while gaining access to additional operational support, technology, care coordination resources and analytics.

“As Franciscan Alliance celebrates 150 years of serving Indiana, this partnership represents the next chapter in that mission,” Franciscan Alliance President and CEO Kevin Leahy said in an Aug. 12 news release. “By combining our trusted community presence with Millennium’s proven expertise in value-based care, we are strengthening our ability to expand access, enhance quality and deliver more affordable healthcare for generations to come.”

The organizations said the partnership is designed to reduce administrative burdens for physicians, improve clinical performance and strengthen chronic disease management and care coordination.

Millennium has more than 1,100 healthcare providers across Florida, North Carolina, Georgia and Texas. The physician group operates a care delivery platform serving commercial, individual exchange, Medicare and Medicaid health plans.

“We’re honored to partner with Franciscan Alliance to help advance its vision for value-based care and support physicians with the operational resources, technology and clinical expertise needed to deliver exceptional care while improving affordability and patient outcomes,” Millennium Healthcare CEO Tesha Simpson said.

Franciscan Alliance operates 11 hospital campuses and employs more than 18,000 people.
