For-profit hospital stock report: Week of Nov. 7-11

All five major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices fall last week.

Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare saw the largest decrease in share price, with shares falling 18 percent.

King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services saw its share price fall 1.4 percent, the least of any of the major for-profit hospital operators.

Here is how the five operators' stock prices stacked up.

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $4.87 per share (down 12.1 percent)
  • HCA Holdings (Nashville, Tenn.): $69.56 per share (down 7.7 percent)
  • LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $52.55 per share (down 9.6 percent)
  • Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $14.55 per share (down 18 percent)
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $118.71 per share (down 1.4 percent)
