For-profit hospital stock report: Week of May 7-11

Four of the five major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices rise last week.

Among the major for-profit hospital operators, Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare saw the greatest increase in share price at 5 percent.

Here are how the five operators stacked up as of May 11.

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $4.35 per share (down 9 percent)
  • HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.): $101.78 per share (up 4.3 percent)
  • LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $54.75 per share (up 3.4 percent)
  • Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $32.65 per share (up 5 percent)
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $118.36 per share (up 0.5 percent)
