For-profit hospital stock report: Week of May 21-25

Three of the five major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices fall last week.

Among the major for-profit hospital operators, Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems saw the greatest decrease in share price at 4.6 percent.

Here are how the five operators stacked up as of May 25.

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $4.33 per share (down 4.6 percent)
  • HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.): $103.67 per share (up 0.8 percent)
  • LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $53.30 per share (down 3.5 percent)
  • Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $34.49 per share (up 3.5 percent)
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $116.71 per share (down 1 percent)
