For-profit hospital stock report: Week of June 15-19

All five major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices rise last week.

Up 4.67 percent last week, shares of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems rose the most of any of the for-profit hospital operators.

Here is how the five operators stack up.

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $56.52 per share (up 4.67 percent).
  • Hospital Corporation of America (Nashville, Tenn.): $84.40 per share (up 2.35 percent).
  • LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $77.17 per share (up 3.10 percent).
  • Tenet Healthcare Corp. (Dallas): $52.64 per share (up 1.58 percent).
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $134.72 per share (up 3.04 percent).
