For-profit hospital stock report: Week of June 11-15

Three of the five major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices rise last week.

Among the major for-profit hospital operators, Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems saw the greatest increase in share price at 3.3 percent.

How the five operators stacked up as of June 15:

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $4.41 per share (up 3.3 percent)
  • HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.): $106.55 per share (up 1.1 percent)
  • LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $54.25 per share (down 1.4 percent)
  • Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $36.32 per share (down 1.3 percent)
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $115.51 per share (up 0.2 percent)
