For-profit hospital stock report: Week of July 29-Aug. 2

Three major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices fall last week.

Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare saw the greatest decrease, 12.4 percent.

Here’s how the operators stacked up as of Aug. 2:

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $1.94 per share (down 9.8 percent)
  • HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.): $127.14 per share (down 12.4 percent)
  • Tenet Healthcare: $22.35 per share (up 1.5 percent)
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $146.45 per share (down 3.6 percent)
