For-profit hospital stock report: Week of July 15-19

Four major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices fall last week.

Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems saw the greatest decrease, 10.6 percent.

Here’s how the operators stacked up as of July 19:

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $2.19 per share (down 10.6 percent)
  • HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.): $139.48 per share (down 1.4 percent)
  • Tenet Healthcare: $18.08 per share (down 7.2 percent)
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $132.63 per share (down 0.2 percent)
