For-profit hospital stock report: Week of Jan. 14-18

Four major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices rise last week.

Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems saw the greatest increase in share price at 7.7 percent.

Here's how the operators stacked up as of Jan. 18:

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $4.05 per share (up 7.7 percent)
  • HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.): $134.54 per share (up 4.2 percent)
  • Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $21.99 per share (up 1.4 percent)
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $131.97 per share (up 5 percent)
