For-profit hospital stock report: Week of Feb. 2-6

Four of the five major for-profit hospital operators saw their stocks rise last week.

Shares of Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare were up 3.31 percent last week, the most of any of the major for-profit hospital operators.

Shares of Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America fell 4 percent last week.

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $47.35 per share (up 0.57 percent)
  • Hospital Corporation of America (Nashville, Tenn.): $67.97 per share (down 4 percent)
  • LifePoint Hospitals (Brentwood, Tenn.): $67.34 per share (up 3.27 percent)
  • Tenet Healthcare Corp. (Dallas): $43.68 per share (up 3.31 percent)
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $104.97 per share (up 2.38 percent)
