For-profit hospital stock report: Week of Dec. 15-19

All five of the major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices increase last week.

Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems saw the largest increase with its share price up 7.15 percent from last week.

  • Hospital Corporation of America (Nashville, Tenn.): $74.47 per share (up 2.10 percent)
  • LifePoint Hospitals (Brentwood, Tenn.): $72.15 per share (up 2.27 percent)
  • Tenet Healthcare Corp. (Dallas): $51.83 per share (up 2.99 percent)
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $109.88 per share (up 3.04 percent)
