For-profit hospital stock report: Week of Aug. 12-16

Three major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices fall last week.

Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems saw the greatest decrease, 13.9 percent.

Here's how the operators stacked up as of Aug. 16:

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $2.10 per share (down 13.9 percent)
  • HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.): $123.93 per share (down 2.8 percent)
  • Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $20.34 per share (down 4.2 percent)
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $147.35 per share (up 0.3 percent)
