For-profit hospital stock report: Week of April 2-6

Three of the five major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices rise last week.

Among the major for-profit hospital operators, Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems saw the greatest increase in share price at 3.5 percent.

Here are how the five operators stacked up as of April 6.

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $4.10 per share (up 3.5 percent)
  • HCA Healthcare (Nashville, Tenn.): $96.24 per share (down 0.8 percent)
  • LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $47.35 per share (up 0.7 percent)
  • Tenet Healthcare (Dallas): $23.71 per share (down 2.3 percent)
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $118.51 per share (up 0.1 percent)
