For-profit hospital stock report: Aug.31-Sept. 4

All five major for-profit hospital operators saw their stock prices fall last week.

Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare Corp. saw the largest decrease in share price, with shares down 6.18 percent to $47.21 per share.

Here is how the five operators stack up.

  • Community Health Systems (Franklin, Tenn.): $52.49 per share (down 4.51 percent).
  • Hospital Corporation of America (Nashville, Tenn.): $85.41 per share (down 3.84 percent).
  • LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.): $77.81 per share (down 2.85 percent).
  • Tenet Healthcare Corp. (Dallas): $47.21 per share (down 6.18 percent).
  • Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.): $135.02 per share (down 3.81 percent).
