The grant is intended to help prevent the number of costly emergency room visits at area hospitals by giving patients access to preventive and primary care services.
Community Health Center of West Palm Beach offers uninsured patients access to primary care physicians and nurse practitioners to help them better manage their health. The $200,000 grant will enable the center to treat more patients and expand their existing healthcare services.
