Fitch places Community Health Systems’ ratings on evolving watch

Fitch Ratings has placed Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems’ ratings on rating watch evolving.

The ratings, which include Fitch’s “B” issuer default rating, apply to $15.6 billion of outstanding debt as of June 30, 2016.

The rating placement is based on a number of factors, including CHS’ persistent operational challenges.
