Fitch assigns ‘BBB-‘ rating to Jennie Stuart Medical Center’s bonds

Fitch Ratings assigned a “BBB-” rating to Hopkinsville, Ky.-based Jennie Stuart Medical Center’s $55.5 million of series 2016 bonds.

Fitch also affirmed JSMC’s $60.1 million of series 2006 bonds.

The outlook remains negative.

The rating assignment, rating affirmation and negative outlook are based on several factors, including JSMC’s ongoing negative operating performance, improved debt burden and adequate liquidity.
