Fitch assigns ‘AA-‘ rating to Willis-Knighton Medical Center, revises outlook to stable

Fitch Ratings assigned its “AA-” issuer default rating to Shreveport, La.-based Willis-Knighton Medical Center.

Concurrently, Fitch affirmed its “AA-” rating on the medical center’s series 1997, series 1995 and series 1993 bonds, affecting about $144.5 million of debt.

The assignment and affirmation are based on several factors, including the medical center’s robust operating margins, leading market share, favorable payer mix and steady leverage metrics.

The outlook is revised to positive from stable.
