Concurrently, Fitch affirmed its “AA” long-term rating on Scripps Health’s outstanding rated bonds.
The assignment and affirmation are based on several factors, including its strong market position, favorable service area, consistent reinvestment efforts and low leverage position. Despite short-term operating margin compression, Fitch expects Scripps Health to rebound to more consistent metrics in fiscal year 2018.
The outlook is stable.
