Fitch affirms Methodist Hospitals’ ‘BBB’ rating

Fitch Ratings has affirmed the “BBB” rating on Gary, Ind.-based Methodist Hospitals’ $45.2 million of series 2014A bonds.

The rating affirmation is based on several factors, including Methodist Hospitals’ light debt burden. Challenges include Methodist Hospitals’ unfavorable payer mix, which limit its profitability.

The outlook is stable.
