Fitch affirms ‘AA’ rating on NewYork-Presbyterian

Fitch Ratings affirmed its “AA” rating on New York City-based NewYork-Presbyterian’s series 2015 and 2016 bonds, affecting $1.6 billion of debt.

Concurrently, Fitch assigned its “AA” issuer default rating to NewYork-Presbyterian.

The affirmation and assignment are based on several factors, including the hospital’s sizable clinical footprint, robust operating margins, steady flow of philanthropic donations and solid leverage metrics.

The outlook is stable.
