Fitch Ratings affirmed its “AA-” issuer default rating for Portland-based Oregon Health and Sciences University.

The rating reflects the institution’s unique market position as the state’s only health sciences university and major academic medical center. This market position, along with the organization’s fundraising abilities, support Fitch’s expectation that it will continue to execute its strategic and operational plans.

The rating outlook is stable.
