Experian partners with AxiaMed, Ingenico Group for healthcare payment solution

Experian Health has partnered with AxiaMed and Ingenico Group on a EuroPay, MasterCard and Visa-complaint device that allows secure patient payment transactions.

“As many in the healthcare industry are aware, the Oct. 1 deadline for organizations to implement EMV devices is fast approaching,” said Scott Bagwell, president of Experian Health. “As such, we’ve teamed with AxiaMed and Ingenico Group, two leaders in the patient payment space, to provide hospitals and medical organizations with an EMV-ready terminal that is tamper-resistant and delivers secure data transmission.”

Through the new system, users will have access to an EMV-ready card acceptance device. The device incorporates Experian’s PaymentSafe solution, as well as AxiaMed’s technology.
