Emerus announces investment by Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe

Houston-based Emerus Holdings, a national leader in the delivery of emergent, inpatient and diagnostic care in partnership with health systems, announced it has signed an agreement to receive a strategic investment from New York-based Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, a leading healthcare investment firm.

The agreement between Emerus and Welsh Carson gives Emerus additional capital to expand its business operations and continue to partner with health systems across the nation. In addition, it provides for the development of an $11 million charity fund, which will benefit the communities throughout Emerus’ network of facilities.

The current Emerus management team will lead the new organization.
