CVS shuttering 25 MinuteClinics in Los Angeles

CVS Health will close 25 of its MinuteClinic locations across Los Angeles by Feb. 25 to ensure patient and consumer demands align with its healthcare delivery strategy.

“We will look for opportunities to offer clinical team members different opportunities within the company and those who are not able to find a new role will be offered severance benefits,” a spokesperson for CVS Health said in a statement shared with Becker’s.

CVS Health will maintain 11 MinuteClinic locations in the Los Angeles area, including an on-demand virtual care practice, the statement said. 

CVS Health has more than 1,100 MinuteClinic medical clinics and virtual care options, according to its website.
