Delta (Colo.) Health discontinued its obstetrics services Sept. 17 and partnered with Montrose (Colo.) Regional Health’s Alpine Women’s Centre and its Family Center to ensure its OB patients have a smooth care transition, according to a system Facebook post

Delta Health patients will be able to continue prenatal visits with their practice providers, and prenatal records will be sent to MRH after each visit.

Once expectant patients reach 34 weeks, their care will be established at MRH’s Alpine Women’s Centre, which has a Delta location. High-risk pregnancies are encouraged to transition by 24 weeks.

“We understand you have a choice, and thank you for trusting us to help make your transition as easy as possible,” the system said in the post.

Delta Health comprises a 49-bed hospital and multiple locations across Delta County. Colo., according to its website
