Colorado's implementation of Medicaid expansion has helped create 31,074 new jobs, according to The Denver Post.
The finding is from a report by the Colorado Health Foundation. The Colorado Futures Center at Fort Collins-based Colorado State University prepared the report.
Here are five other findings from the report, according to The Denver Post.
1. By fiscal year 2034, the number of jobs created in Colorado due to Medicaid expansion will grow to 43,018.
2. Colorado's economy has grown 1.14 percent larger since Medicaid was expanded, resulting in a $3.8 billion boost to the state's economic activity.
3. By fiscal year 2034, the state's economy is expected to be 1.38 percent larger due to expansion, resulting in a $8.5 billion boost to the state's economic activity.
4. Due to expansion, the average annual household income in Colorado is $643 higher.
5. The state's general fund won't gain any additional costs associated with Medicaid expansion.
