Through the MyChoiceMD website, healthcare shoppers can compare prices at various facilities, select and pay for a service upfront and schedule an appointment with a care provider.
As prices listed for self-pay patients are often lower than those offered to patients with insurance, the company hopes its website will help both uninsured and high deductible consumers save money.
The site also helps providers by speeding cash flow processes and collecting payments upfront, MyChoiceMD CEO Gustav Hoyer told Coloradoan.
So far, medical institutions in Fort Collins such as Associates in Family Medicine, The Women’s Clinic of Northern Colorado and The Imaging Center are listed on MyChoiceMD.
