Cognizant expands RCM portfolio with new acquisition: 6 things to know

Cognizant closed its acquisition of revenue cycle management company Bolder Healthcare Solutions.

Here are six things to know.

1. Cognizant is a professional services company based in Teaneck, N.J.

2. Bolder, based in Louisville, Ky., provides RCM services to hospitals and other healthcare organizations nationwide.

3. Through the transaction, Cognizant will be able to grow its portfolio of digital healthcare solutions and reach more healthcare organizations, including hospitals, hospital outpatient departments, physician practices, and other specialty care providers, according to a news release.

4. Kaushik Bhaumik, executive vice president and global head of healthcare at Cognizant, said in a statement: “The addition of Bolder Healthcare Solutions to the Cognizant portfolio enables us to offer more services to a broader range of healthcare providers and equip them with a digital foundation for outcome based models and greater efficiency.”

5. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

6. Bolder and Cognizant first made the transaction news public in March.
