CMS threatened to revoke BCH’s Medicare funding Nov. 24 following a Nov. 2 investigation by the Alabama Department of Health. During the investigation, the state agency found multiple deficiencies, including issues with improperly tracking medication errors and ensuring a safe and sanitary environment.

Bullock County Hospital submitted a new correction plan that was approved by CMS. As a result the hospital can continue participate in the Medicare Program.
