CMS Issues Proposed Rule for Increasing Payments to Skilled Nursing Facilities

CMS has issued a proposed rule increasing Medicare payments to skilled nursing facilities by 1.4 percent in fiscal year 2014.

Based on a 2.3 percent marketbasket increase, the proposed increase in payments would result in a $500 million increase in aggregate payments in FY 2014.
