CMS finalizes 2% increase in skilled nursing facility payments

CMS has released final rules for fiscal year 2015 that update Medicare payments for skilled nursing facilities, according to a report from AHA News Now.

The rule provides a 2.0 percent increase — $750 million — for fee-for-service payments overall when compared to 2014, with a 2.1 percent increase for hospital-based SNFs.

The SNF rules are set to take effect Oct. 1, 2014.
