Here are five things to know about Mr. Cathey.
1. He has more than three decades of experience in sales/marketing, consulting and client relations.
2. He previously held positions at Fujitsu Americas, Rackspace, Avnet, Arrow Electronics and IBM.
3. At Fujitsu Americas, which provides business technology services, cloud services, computing platforms and industry solutions, Mr. Cathey led the business unit.
4. In his new role, Mr. Cathey will lead the ClearDATA sales and marketing team and work to establish both long and short range goals, strategies, plans and policies, ClearDATA said.
5. Mr. Cathey earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Wash., and a BBA in Management from the University of Notre Dame (Ind).
