Irving, Texas-based Christus Health is consolidating inpatient services from Christus St. Michael Hospital–Pine Street in Texarkana, Texas, to its main Christus St. Michael Hospital campus, also in Texarkana, with all transitions expected to be complete by July 1, according to a health system statement shared with Becker’s.

“At the time of the announcement, inpatient census was already at zero, and patients are now being cared for at St. Michael, consistent with that transition,” a spokesperson for Christus said. “Pine Street will continue to provide urgent and emergent care.”

The move was first reported by the Texarkana Gazette.

Christus said inpatient services at the Pine Street campus will end by June 30. The health system did not provide additional details about the consolidation.

Christus Health is a Catholic, faith-based health system headquartered in Irving, Texas.
