The Medical Billing Analysis Calculator measures critical billing metrics and compares those results to MGMA benchmarks related to physician practices’ specialties. The software aims to help practices calculate their own revenue cycle performance with ease and on their own time.
The calculator functions by analyzing a series of user inputs, such as practice specialty, annual charges, annual collections, total outstanding accounts receivable, and number of encounters, and then calculates various nodes of RCM performance. Metrics include average reimbursement per encounter, average monthly collections and average days in accounts receivable, among others.
